Above you can see different research cell types and there efficiency development over the years. We put a special focus on studying organic cells and organic tandem cells in the future. Since they look very promising for our usecase of creating a flexible photovoltaiv sun blind. We think that the aspect of disposal must be integrated from the very first design of the cell. Minimizing the toxic waste and production byproducts.

Organic solar cell

An organic solar cell (OSC) or plastic solar cell is a type of photovoltaic that uses organic electronics, a branch of electronics that deals with conductive organic polymers or small organic molecules, for light absorption and charge transport to produce electricity from sunlight by the photovoltaic effect. Most organic photovoltaic cells are polymer solar cells.
